\nOsteopathic Practitioners focus on treating the body as a whole unit. The approach is to locate the root of the patient’s pain/discomfort, therefore reducing the likeliness of re-occurrence. Manual treatment relies on restoring and stabilizing proper mechanics, posture, and neurophysiological balance. It co-ordinates and integrates various parts, regions, and systems of the body.

\nOsteopathy is only covered by MSP if treated by an Osteopathic Physician and not a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner.
\n\nIs Osteopathy covered by health insurance plans?
\nCheck with your health insurance company to see if Osteopathy is covered in your extended health benefits plan. Upon payment at the clinic a receipt will be issued, which will be proof of payment to be used to submit to your insurance company.

\n\nWhat can I expect on my first visit to an Osteopathic Practitioner?
\nA typical visit involves a complete evaluation and manual treatment. The emphasis of treatment is based on abnormal musculoskeletal findings called somatic dysfunctions. A somatic dysfunction is present when there are palpable asymmetries, restrictions or alterations in normal motions, and/or tissue texture changes.

\n\nHow long are appointments?
\nThe initial appointment is 60 minutes and follow up treatments are typically 30 minutes according to your condition. The length of the treatment will vary according to your condition.
\n\nHow many visits will it take before I see results?
\nRegardless of the problem, our patients typically notice improvements within 3 to 5 visits. In some cases a few visits are required for complete restoration of function. In others however a more prolonged approach is needed, perhaps 10-15 visits.

\nPayments are to be made in full at the time of your appointment. We accept cash, MasterCard and Visa. A receipt will be issued for submission to your insurance company for personal reimbursement, as we do not deal with insurance companies.
